Irish airline to start Belfast to Paris flights
Aer Lingus will be starting new flights from Belfast International airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle from 30 March.
Fares on the daily service will start from £25 one way including taxes and charges. But in order to start the new flights to Paris, Aer Lingus will be redeploying one of the planes currently on its Belfast to Amsterdam service. This will mean it will run only one flight a day to Amsterdam, instead of two as at present.
Our market research has shown strong demand for Paris, Charles de Gaulle while Northern Ireland is increasingly popular with French visitors. We are delighted to be able to capitalise on this demand by launching Aer Lingus low cost, superior service offering on this route, explains Aer Lingus CEO, Dermot Mannion.
The flights to Paris are the tenth Aer Lingus has announced since 10 December when the airline moved to its new base at Belfast International airport. Other new routes include Barcelona and Geneva.
On 25 February Aer Lingus will launch more new flights to the popular holiday destinations of Malaga in Spain and Faro in Portugal, plus the popular city break destinations of Rome and Budapest. Finally on 1 April new flights will take off to Nice in the South of France.
In January Aer Lingus sold more than one million seats in just one month from its website. This success is further testament to our outstanding proposition of low fares on offer each day, along with great service experienced by our customers on a choice of 86 routes to the UK, Europe and the US, comments Aer Lingus corporate affairs director, Enda Corneille.
