Heathrow T5 screens Two Lovers

[March 13th 2008]

The BA airport lounge at Heathrow Terminal 5 will be the unlikely venue for a special preview screening of Gwyneth Paltrow’s new film.

Two Lovers will be screened at the airport on March 16th ahead of its nationwide release on March 27th. Set in Brooklyn, New York, Two Lovers is a romantic drama co-starring Joaquin Phoenix.

There will be two screenings in the private cinema at the British Airways airport lounge at T5 – one for BA customers and one for a specially invited audience from the world of travel and film.

British Airways Lounges Manager, Deborah Owens, explains: "Our T5 lounge is like a private members' club - we offer British Airways premium customers the best in comfort, style and luxury. We're always looking at innovative ways to use the lounges to maximise their potential and today's screening is the first of many more specials to come."

Gwyneth Paltrow, married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, spends much of her time flitting between London and New York. On her website goop.com she lists some of her favourite hotels and restaurants in both New York and London.

Many of the places are also listed on BA’s recently launched social media site, metrotwin.com. The BA site provides a guide to the best of New York and London, based on recommendations from experts, locals and the online community.

In New York, Gwyneth recommends the ultra chic The Bowery Hotel. On her website she writes: “The Bowery has been one of my homes-away-from-home in the last year. It is a very cool spot with the people to match… my English rock star friends can't get enough of it.

The American film star also reveals some of her favourite hang outs. The Aquagrill on Spring Street is described as having “Super fresh fish” and a “great wine list” and Gwyneth says it is one of her “regular spots”.

Other Paltrow favourites include Balthazar, a “classic downtown spot” which “looks like a Parisian brasserie”, and Babbo, where she says “It's hard to get a table but you can always go to the bar for an incredible plate of pasta and a glass of wine”.
