Growing budget airline Jet2.com was voted in the top two best airlines for value for money at the inaugural Holiday Extras Customers' Awards, a significant accolade that came from 18,000 UK travellers surveyed during the summer of 2009.

Known for their 'friendly low fares', Jet2.com joined the low-cost air travel revolution in February 2003 flying daily between Leeds Bradford International airport and Amsterdam.

Jet2.com has operated commercial aircraft for 30 years, exclusively under the name Channel Express (Air Services) for the first 20 years.

During its first year as Jet2.com, the airline offered scheduled flights to seven European business, city break and sun destinations and carried 360,000 passengers. Since then, Jet2.com has carried more than eight million travellers.

Jet2.com now flies from Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, East Midlands, Belfast, Edinburgh, Manchester and Blackpool in the UK to 90 popular destinations across Europe, Egypt and the USA.
