Book an Airport Lounge

Security continues to be tight at UK airports, and while these safety measures are generally applauded by everyone. Delays are inevitable.

Essentially passengers are undergoing a trade-off between convenience and peace of mind - which is fair enough BUT if we are going to be spending more time at the airport then how are we going to fill our time?

Onto allow business travellers and executives to relax in first class comfort, is the airport lounge. In fact airport lounges open their doors to all travellers (some lounges do not permit children under 12) and can offer up to three hours of comforting snacks and drinks in a convivial atmosphere that is totally unlike the mayhem of the main airport concourses.

From only £18.00 per person you can enjoy an airport lounge and relax in a sanctuary away from the busy departures areas.

Book your space in an airport lounge as soon as your holiday has been confirmed - all you need to supply is the terminal of departure and the time that you require to enter the lounge. The Airport Lounge service is certainly worth the money and keeps you fresh and refreshed...ready to start your holiday.

Airport Security Measures

There are a few things that each one of us can do to prepare for our airport security checks.

Before departing check with your airline on the cabin baggage arrangements for your particular journey.

Speed up the progress through search points by excluding items capable of containing liquids (e.g. bottles, flasks, tubes, cans, plastic containers etc.) from your cabin baggage. Remove laptops and large electrical items (e.g. large hairdryer) at the security point - they will be placed in a tray so that they can be clearly seen.

Carry on Baggage allowances

Pushchairs and walking aids are permitted but need to be x-ray screened.

Wheelchairs are permitted but will be thoroughly searched.

Please note:
Any containers larger than 100ml (excluding essential medicines) will NOT be allowed through the security search point.
Most liquids of any amount may still be carried in hold baggage.
One lighter per person may be carried through central search. Lighters form part of the allowance of liquid in the litre bag and can either be placed inside the litre bag or screened separately provided they would fit into the bag. Do not place the lighter into their cabin bag after screening - it must be carried on the person for the duration of the flight. Lighters are NOT permitted in hold baggage.
