Gatwick winter sun flights | Extra flights to Tenerife and Lanzarote
[23rd April 2008]
Low fares airline Monarch has launched its winter schedule from Gatwick airport and is offering more flights to popular winter sun destinations.
Anyone looking for a winter holiday flying from Gatwick will have plenty of choice with more flights to popular destinations such as Alicante, Faro, Malaga and Murcia.
"Our customers continue to prefer our low fare, more care offer and having more than doubled our services to Tenerife and Lanzarote, coupled with additional services to Murcia, the first winter operation of our popular Gatwick-Larnaca route, and by maintaining our strong position on our core routes, we are ideally positioned to meet the needs of our passengers," says MD of Monarchs scheduled services, Liz Savage.
Flights to Alicante are up to 11 a week, flights to Faro up to five a week, flights to Tenerife up to seven a week, and to Lanzarote up to five a week. The new winter flights to Larnaca on the popular island of Cyprus will operate three times a week. Murcia, which has been a popular destination for Brits looking for a second home abroad, sees new flights on Sundays and Tuesdays and up to five a week in total.
Monarch will also be resuming flights from Manchester airport to Gibraltar. Flights will start again in September having been stopped in July 2006. Departures are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12 September with fares from £48 one way including taxes and charges.
We are delighted to be bringing direct services to Gibraltar back to the Northwest which will operate in addition to our ongoing services from Luton. There continues to be huge demand for flights from our customers, and this has been reflected by the number of requests that we have received from them over the past few years, comments Savage.
