Best Airline for travelling with Babies

Flybe

Tell me about Flybe

Flybe in its current form was launched in 2002. It is one of Europe’s largest carriers, with over 200 routes, and the UK’s biggest domestic air travel provider. Flybe operates a ‘low cost, but not at any cost policy’, whereby it puts green issues at the forefront of its operations.

Why is Flybe good if you're travelling with a baby?

When accompanied by an adult and not occupying a seat, an infant less than two years of age can fly for 12% of the adult fare on flybe airlines. It's a legal requirement that a child over two must have their own seat and if your toddler turns two while you’re away, Flybe will allocate them a return seat of their own but won’t charge any extra. It’s this level of understanding that has made them a firm favourite with families. Also, if you are travelling with a pushchair it is often possible to keep it with you until you reach the steps of the aircraft.

Has Flybe won any other awards?

In 2010, Flybe was named Europe’s Number One Regional Airline, World’s Number One Independent Regional Operator by Airline Business magazine, Best Short-Haul Airline and was awarded Best Environmental Contribution by a Company at the 2010 Business Travel Awards.
