Launched in 1984, Richard Branson’s airline has become synonymous with customer care. Operating a vast number of flights to an extensive list of premium destinations, Virgin Atlantic prides itself on quality of service, value and reliability.

What does Virgin Atlantic do for its disabled passengers?

Virgin Atlantic has a special team dedicated to assisting passengers with disabilities. They can make your journey, however long, an easier, more comfortable experience with their expert advice and practical help.

All Virgin planes are equipped with two types of adapted seat. These are the Burnett Body Support and the Travel Chair, both of which are suitable for travellers with physical disabilities. In order to enable maximum mobility during the flight, each Virgin Atlantic aircraft has a wheelchair which fits between the aisle so you won’t miss out on their excellent facilities.

Has Virgin Atlantic won any other awards?

For over 25 years of stellar service to the airline industry, Virgin Atlantic has won many awards. Including the Conde Nast Traveller Readers Travel Award for Favourite Long Haul Airline and the Travel Weekly Globe award for Best Scheduled Airline to US/Canada as voted for by Britain's travel agents.

On the night of the Holiday Extras Customers' Awards, Debbie Magdalene Sealy, customer relations, Virgin Atlantic, said: "Virgin Atlantic is absolutely thrilled to win these awards and we thank all those customers who recognise what our staff does on a daily basis."
