  • At the North Terminal, the Short Stay car park can be found at Car Park 5 and 6 (postcode: RH6 0PJ)
  • At the South Terminal, the Short Stay car park can be found in Car Parks 1, 2 and 3 (postcode: RH6 0LL)

Long Stay - Pick Up

  • Alternatively, you can park for FREE for 2 hours in the Long Stay car parks
  • A free shuttle bus will take you to and from the terminal. It's a 10-15 minute journey to the North Terminal and 7-12 minutes to reach the South Terminal
  • The postcode for the Long Stay car park at the North Terminal is: RH6 0RN
  • The postcode for the Long Stay car park at the South Terminal is: RH6 0NY

Do you pay to drop off at Gatwick?


There are 3 main drop off options at Gatwick airport.

The closest and most convenient drop off point is the Terminal Drop Off Zone, located directly outside the terminals. Prices start from £5.00 for 10 minutes.

For those who think they might need longer to say their goodbyes, we recommend parking at Short Stay. The car parks are located just a 5 minute walk from the terminals and prices start from £5.00 for 30 minutes.

Want to drop off for FREE? Head to the Long Stay car park, located a 10 minute shuttle ride away from the terminal. Parking is FREE for up to 2 hours.

Blue Badge holders are exempt from paying Drop Off Zone charges for 30 minutes. You'll need to register your number plate in advance. You can register anytime from three months before your flight up to the day before you travel.

You can pay the Drop Off charge by phone on 0330 174 4503 (automated payment line) or online.

How long do you have to pay the Gatwick drop off charge?


You have until midnight the day after you use the Gatwick Drop Off Zone to pay.

What happens if you don't pay the Gatwick drop off charge?


The Gatwick Drop Off charge will be enforced through a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) at a charge of £100 (down to £60 if you pay within 14 days).

How does Gatwick parking work?


The Gatwick parking procedures will vary slightly depending on the type of parking option you choose. With a Park and Ride package you'll park up and catch a transfer to and from the terminal. With a Meet and Greet service, a professional driver will handle all of the parking for you and drop you off close to the terminal, allowing you to walk to and from the terminal with ease.

  • Booking confirmations can be printed or shown on your phone or device
  • With our Gatwick parking all transfer and airport fees are included
  • Arriving early or late? Most car parks offer a grace period until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate

Is Blue Badge parking free at Gatwick Airport?


Blue Badge parking is free for up to 2 hours at the Long Stay car park and 30 minutes at the Terminal Drop Off Zones. Discounted parking in the Premium Short Stay car park is available - if you park for less than 4 hours, you'll be charged the cheaper, standard Short Stay rate.

Standard parking rates apply for Blue Badge holders at Gatwick's other car parks.

Can I park at Gatwick for free?


Gatwick offers 2 hours free parking at the Long Stay car parks (North and South), which is perfect for drop-offs and pick-ups. Transfers are free and take around 10 minutes to reach the terminals.

You can park in the Short Stay car park at Gatwick for as long as you need - there isn't a minimum or maximum length of stay. The 'short' in Short Stay is a reflection of the distance from the car park to the terminal, not the duration you can park.

How do you pay for parking at Gatwick Airport?

There will be no need to pay on the day - the car park's entry and exit barriers will automatically open by reading your car registration number.

If you're turning up on the day (on-airport car parks only), you'll need to use the Pay Stations that take cash and card payments, located within the car parks.

How do I pay for Gatwick Long Stay parking?


There are Pay On Foot machines that accept cash and card payments, located in the Long Stay car park itself. If you book online, Gatwick airport accepts most credit and debit payments, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Google Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal.
