Best Airline for Value for Money

Wizz Air

Wizz Air, one of the newer low-cost airlines in the travel industry, has been named a finalist in the Best Airline for Value for Money category at the HolidayExtras.com Customers' Awards 2010.

It was launched in 2003 and is now one of the largest low-fare airlines operating from London Luton and Warsaw. It also has 10 other bases across eastern Europe, including Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic and Poland.

"Very good value for money."

Wizz Air's chief executive officer, József Váradi, and a team of six other experts got the airline off the ground within just three months. It now offers flights on over 150 routes and is always looking to expand its network of destinations to provide its customers with an array of options. Wizz Air focuses on offering its customers affordable travel, while utilising the newest technology and safety features.

"Good budget airline and would use them again."

Although Wizz Air is a budget airline, the dedicated service offered by its people is a team effort, where everyone shares the same passion for the business. The airline offers lower prices by using a 'simple service model' - all flights are standard class, there's no pre-booked seating and every booking is e-ticketed.

The airline reached the landmark figure of 10 million passengers in 2008. And now it's been named among the top five in the UK in the Best Airline for Value for Money category at the HolidayExtras.com Customers' Awards 2010.
