Holiday Extras® response to XL administration

Following the announcement of XL Leisure Group's administration on September 12, 2008, Holiday Extras® has released details of its policies regarding customer cancellations and refunds.
David Stratton, head of sales at Holiday Extras, said: "It is an unfortunate scenario that XL Leisure Group has had to enter administration, but we at Holiday Extras are doing all we can to ensure that holidaymakers do not suffer any more than they already have.
"We urge everyone that has made a booking with XL to contact their travel agents, the Civil Aviation Authority or their credit card issuer for details of their refund procedures. Our own cancellation and refund policies have been revised in order to accommodate travellers in such a unique situation."
Wherever possible, Holiday Extras will allow those affected by the events at XL to amend or cancel their airport parking, airport hotel and airport lounge bookings free of charge. Exceptions to this will be special Advanced Bookings and same day hotel bookings, which cannot be refunded, and where the company is bound by its suppliers' terms and conditions.
Holiday Extras must be advised of all amendments or cancellations on, or prior to, the departure date and is unable to refund any charges for bookings made with a credit card.
