New flights to Liverpool airport

Low cost airline Ryanair will launch daily flights to Liverpool John Lennon airport from Ireland West Knock airport from 27th October.

“We’re confident that the new route to Liverpool will prove just as successful as our existing routes to Bristol, East Midlands, London (Luton) and London (Stansted),” comments Ryanair’s Bridget Dowling.

Ireland West Knock airport marketing and route development manager, Annette Kearney, adds: “We look forward to welcoming visitors from Britain’s North West and I’m sure the Liverpool region will equally benefit from a boost of Irish leisure and business travelers, especially from the thousands of Liverpool FC and Everton supporters in our catchments!”

Liverpool is also Capital of Culture this year which is likely to increase interest in the new flights. Seat prices to Liverpool one way start from €12.99.

Ryanair is also launching new flights to Poland from Shannon airport in Ireland. Flights to Gdansk, Katowice and Lodz will begin in November.

“The new services to Poland, which will operate on a twice weekly basis, will deliver an additional 90,000 passengers per annum creating almost 100 jobs in the region,” says Dowling.

Seat prices on the new routes will start from €13 one way. Low cost airline Ryanair now offers a choice of 33 flights from its base at Shannon airport in the west of Ireland.
