Why the Hilton T4 should be your next airport hotel
We've been on a mission to visit all the hotels we sell so we can show what we liked about them, and give you an idea of what to expect when you go.
As part of that, we're showcasing the best our hotels have to offer through our nifty new videos and images. We've also been lucky enough to stay in a few of them – here's what we thought of this one.
The hotel wowed us as soon as we arrived, with its big, bright facade and sparkly glass entrance – setting the bar high for the rest of the place.
We had to squint a bit as we entered the massive atrium from all the light the glass front lets in – light and airy doesn't quite do it justice but if that's the theme they were going for they pretty much nailed it.
It's all very clean and modern with thoughtful design features throughout, like the leafy canopies that dangle over some of the tables in the bar area, or the view of the garden from the restaurant.

Location
In its own little patch of greenery complete with vegetable patches and a pond, you might expect the hotel to be a bit out of the way of the airport. But you'd be wrong. It's actually connected to T4 by a walkway so you can be at the terminal in minutes. And if you're flying from a different one you take the Heathrow Express for free.
Food and drink
OXBO Kitchen is the centrepiece of the huge atrium area of the hotel, and in the evening it almost sparkles with the soft lighting that transforms it into a warm space to enjoy an evening meal. Between us we tried a bit of everything and we really liked the slow-cooked lamb. There was a veggie with us too who particularly liked the pasta with goat's cheese.
We also spent some time at the bar where the expert mixologist impressed us by whipping up cocktails with bubbles and a smoke gun. There are some lighter meals here too like flat breads and nibbles. We would've indulged in some if we weren't absolutely stuffed from dinner.
The breakfast is absolutely banging as well – expect mountains of pastries and little cakes, everything you need for a full English, and even waffle and pancake stations. We gave the hashbrowns a solid 9/10 – just the right level of crispiness with a nice fluffy middle.
Rooms
First thing's first – ask if there are any runway-view rooms when you arrive, you might get lucky. They come with triple glazing to cut out the airport noise and the same modern vibe as the rest of the hotel.
Our rooms were internal facing so we were treated to views of the atrium area. It was a bit off-putting at first but being nosey and watching the guests come and go was a nice bit of entertainment. Not that we needed it with the free wifi and massive TV.
Everything else
There's a gym with free weights and machines (we didn't use it but it looked impressive!). We also spied a cute little vegetable patch in the gardens near the pond. It looked like there was some outdoor seating too so if the weather's hot you can enjoy a little time outside. We even saw a heron wading in the pond, which is bonkers when you think about how close to the airport the hotel is. It was cute to watch over breakfast though.
There's nothing really bad to say about the Hilton T4, and we're not just saying that because we have to! The food is great, the cocktails are beyond impressive and the rooms are comfy, but I think the best thing about this hotel is that it's connected to T4.
Many of the hotels at Heathrow are a bus or taxi ride away from the terminal, so to have one that's in walking distance really sets it apart. Even if you're not flying from the T4, the Heathrow Express makes it easy to get to the right one and it's totally free.
