Gatwick North Terminal

The North terminal at Gatwick caters largely for long-haul flights. The main airlines operating from Gatwick North terminal are British Airlines, easyJet and charter airlines Thomsonfly and First Choice Airways.

The North terminal at Gatwick is spread over four floors. The areas and services are all well sign-posted and separated into clearly defined zones.

First floor: The first floor contains public and domestic arrivals areas and baggage reclaim areas.

Second floor: The second floor has a range of shops, restaurants and cafés and the passport control desks.

Third floor: The check-in and departures area with baggage claim and security gate.

Fourth floor: The departure lounge with restaurants and cafés.

North terminal Gatwick facilities

The North terminal has a complete range of facilities aimed at all travellers. You'll find a good selection of high street stores, newsagents, restaurants and cafés as well as information desks, disabled toilets and bureaux de change.

There is a wide range of retail stores throughout the terminal. Landside of the terminal there are 16 shops including high street names such as Monsoon, HMV, The Body Shop and La Senza. Beyond the security gates there are 33 more stores including a Harrods, Next, Hamleys and Ted Baker.

Bureaux de change
There are bureaux de change desks at check-in, departures and arrivals to provide foreign currency for your holidays.

Internet access
There is internet access and wireless hotspots in the check-in area, the departures area, domestic arrivals and in The Avenue. The departures lounge also has e-mail, games, scanning, printing, fax and office software.

There are public toilets on every floor of the North terminal at Gatwick. There are also baby change facilities and showers.

Information desk
There is an information desk in the main arrivals area with multi-lingual staff offering assistance.

Multi-faith chapel
The North terminal has a chapel on the ground floor next to arrivals for people of all faiths to use for worship and meditation. A half-hour Christian service is held every Sunday and weekdays.

There is a wide choice of hotels located near to Gatwick airport, ranging from two to four stars.

Because the North and South terminals are connected by a free monorail service, it is easy to transfer from one to the other. Some hotels will only provide transfers to the South terminal but this shouldn't be seen as an inconvenience because of the easy access to the North terminal from there
