Convenient car park but EVERY time we use it we have to go through the same hassle - the number recognition doesn’t work. We are not the only ones as the reviews show so WHY hasn’t this been sorted? It causes SO much stress. The staff are quick to sort it once they answer the phone but this shouldn’t happen. Having experienced the problem so often we won’t be using this car park again.

Our flight was delayed by 6 hours although we had no problem at all getting out of the red zone car park when we eventually arrived at Stansted.

Yet again the camera failed to recognise my number plate so I had to go through explaining to the assistant I had pre paid and I spent several minutes trying to give my number RX65 NVA and the assistant kept saying "S" and me saying no "X". Sort out the camera system.

Signs indicated it was a 24 hour car park, which was confusing and number plate recognition did not work. That said, we were issued a ticket promptly and everything else was fine.

I feel it is very misleading to charge extra to park in the red carpark. It is every bit as far from the terminal building as the other short stay car parks. I would not pay extra to park in this zone again

Plate recognition did not work ! could not barriers to open and let us in. At 4.10 am this is especially frustrating. We couldn’t get a reply when pressing for help either. Tried another lane - same thing, although others were driving through. Around 10minutes later we managed to get a reply from the help button who let us through. I understand there was an accident just before this and this may have added to response time but overall I’m tempted to book direct with stansted next time now.

Booked RED carpark, arrived at RED carpark but ticket not issued and barrier did not open. Had to call assistance and was told my booking had been moved to ORANGE carpark as RED was a bit busy. glad airlines don't have the same policy 'Sorry sir your flight to Munich is a bit busy so we have moved you to a flight to Milan'

Upon arriving at Standsted Red Carpark I was unable to acess the carpark as they were unable to find a booking against my name, reservation number or registration number. This lead to unecessary hassle and phone calls to the Holiday Extras office, and as their office doesn't open until late morning this proved to be a difficult task.

no, there was a queue of people trying to get in and out all waiting on the help buzzer as the automatic registration plate recognition was not working. there was then confusion if i should take a ticket, and the process was a lot more confusing and time consuming than last time, which is why I re-booked this service.

generally good experience, the car registration was not recognised but the attendant sorted that after a couple of minutes. the directions to the car park mentions the names of the roundabouts, I couldn't see the names on the actual roundabouts!!

We paid extra to park in short stay Red zone but absolutely no parking spaces when we arrived. Was then asked to pay additional money when we tried to leave car park to try another zone. Was told if none available in orange zone we would have to go to blue zone where a bus would be needed to travel to terminal.Highly stressful and unacceptable if you pay more to stay in a zone close to the airport you should be guaranteed a space!!! Eventually found space in orange zone but when you are with young children I found it extremely stressful. Would not recommend do not use!

We were booked in Meet & Greet Plus, when we arrived we weren't told where to go and the M&G Plus area was full so pulled up just behind and got out to wait to speak to the one attendant who was alone and extremely busy. After waiting for 10 mins I was told I was parked in the wrong place so moved to where I was told assuming I would be dealt with next only for the attendant to ignore me and move on to the next customer. I explained the situation but he still wanted to serve the other customer first and 'would I mind'. I obviously said yes as I was first and an awkward confrontation followed. Not the ideal start to a family holiday. It was an understaffed and unorganised service we paid a premium for :-(

Although on the paperwork it said red car park, the barrier did not open, on speaking to someone they said we were in orange , but changed the booking to red. Everything else was fine, plenty of space and east walk to terminal. Easy exit too.

I had a bad experience with the parking in that my car reg was not recognised on entry. So I had to take a ticket. Then as I exited the car park, they wanted to charge me full price of pounds. I then had to contact the intercom and speak to a member of staff to convince them that I had paid for 10 mins.. Please can you offer me some compensation for this. I am a valued customer and use you around 20 times per year at least..

We have used the green car park and the red car park for 2 trips away this summer and both have been excellent. No problems on entering or exiting the car parks. Both within easy walking distance to terminal although green is the closest. On one of our trips back, the flight was cancelled. I called Holiday Extras to explain the problem and the man I spoke to was extremely helpful and polite, putting my mind at rest.

Booking is always easy. However, when we arrived at the barrier to leave, it said we owed £165!! Our booking wasn’t registered. Although we pressed the help button and got the issue sorted, this wasn’t what we wanted to see after a long day and delayed flight.

Depsite pre booking well in advance our license plate wasn’t recognised and when we went to leave it suggested we pay a further £245. We then had to go back and park, dig out our paperwork to check what action to take and call someone to verify our booking. Took far longer than just being able to drive away. It was also a longer walk from the terminal than advertised, possibly as there were lots of parking rows and no space in the front rows at all.

I just booked car parking for three days at Stansted. When I drove up to the barrier on my arrival I had to take a ticket from the machine at the barrier. On my return I put my ticket in the machine and I was told I had to pay £165! Fortunately the 24hr assistance quickly solved the problem and I was able to leave without paying twice, but this was an inconvenience I could have done without. It would seem that the problem lay with Stansted parking rather than Holiday Extras so this would not stop me booking with you again.

Red short stay car park not so easy to access at night - Stansted airport closes lots of entrances at night so we had to walk to one end of the airport, use the lift and then walk back to the other end of the airport to get to the red car park! Not easy with buggy, tired child and lots of luggage!
