Reviews of Short Stay Premium at Stansted Airport

Parking in the RED zone is not the short walk listed, on return it is a very long walk and a bus would be better. The ANPR failed to work and we had problems getting in and the same getting out. A med or long term parking with a bus might be less stressful.

To be totally honest I was over charged as the day before it was £27 cheaper When I got to stansted they did not let my car through Pressed the help button total joke no reference to my booking even though I was holding the email confirmation in my hand Fifteen minutes later they let me in all be it wrong air park And the exact same problem getting out

My Easyjet flight on the day I booked parking was cancelled and there was no other available to Belfast to get me to my Aunt's funeral on time. I therefore did not use the car park and I am waiting to hear about the refund I have requested for booking ref CWMLDT. I cannot answer the question below because I was unable to travel but I had planned to travel with my wife.

Parked in the red zone at Stansted airport, straight in, couple of minutes walk to the terminal the straight back to the car when we landed, so simple.

When we arrived the barrier did not open we had to call reception and then had to reverse and try again fortunately there was not a queue. People in the other queue also had to do this

Parking in red zone of short stay car park at Stansted Airport. This is the shortest distance from the terminal. No need for bus transfer. Just walk into the terminal. Worked really well and was so convient.

Barrier didnt open when arrived - had to press button and wait for a while then persuade chap open gate. Then coming back was appx 00:30 dark stormy couldnt find way to carpark myself and appx other people were outside and couldnt find route down to park as badly signposted in the end climbed down bank. In dark orange signs look red very hard to distinguish at night - would be a good idea to put up a big illuminted sign with Red car park on it.

£72 for a day and a half in a car park is a joke. The flights were only £9.99 each for goodness sake. The only reason I paid it was because there were no direct trains from Liverpool Street (bus replacement from somewhere or other) It’s ridiculous

Turned up as the barrier didn’t recognise my car! Waited 3 mins then some chap spoke and eventually after some discussions let me in… parking red zone stansted pre flight stress!! On returning again would not let me out!! More grief and stress eventually barrier opened So all in all poor experience

I booked red short stay premium parking arrived at 4.20 am and auto barrier didn’t recognise no plate. Was dealt with by through comms button but took a while. Had same experience on leaving. Didn’t feel like premium parking.

As advertised quick Access to red zone stansted car park FROM AIRPORT is closed at evening hours and trvellers need to go around thru orange zone carpark access.

Very easy booking process. Used the postcode and drive straight to the Red car park. Parked car and in 2 mins inside the terminal. No hassle. My car was safe and I didn't feel u safe walking to the terminal or leaving my car behind.

Don’t know why they close long stay car park? Instead I was forced into short stay and pay premium charge. By mistake I took my car above the red zone where the drop off point is and they charged me £9 fee despite of telling them I took the wrong exit and I am here to park in the red zone. They refused to open the barrier. So I am not at all happy

The red zone is further to walk then mentioned, upon arrival it was raining and took about 10 to 15 mins to walk to the terminal and we were soaked when I thought we would be able to walk into the terminal relatively quick being as it says 1-4 mins walk. It is not 1-4 mins as suggested in fact other car parks are closer then this one so was disappointed to pay a premium for the carpark and it not be as close as expected.

The booking , entering and leaving all fantastic but what I thought was the most convenient car park actually wasn’t. I returned very late at night and the red car park was quite a walk away from the busy parts of outer airport. I felt quite vulnerable being on my own as it was dark and large areas of empty ground cordoned off that I had to walk past to the red car park- absolutely no one around.
