My booking details was not passed on to the provider. I had to charge my phone to find out the booking info and prove it that I had a genuine booking. Something want to avoid after a long flight. Don't want to deal with this nonsense.

Number plate wasn't recognised at the entry gate to the Gatwick South Long Stay car park, so we had to call for assistance and it took a long time (2-3 mins) for anybody to answer the phone. Not good with a queue of cars behind you.

Problems when trying to exit car park. Said we had £125 to pay!! Had to back up which caused problems to other drivers and had to go into customer services to sort it out. Not what you need when you have been up since 2 am and had a 4 hour drive ahead of you. Nothing to do with holiday extras I may add they were really good.

Booking had not been logged so prepayment or number plate was not recognised. I had to wait for telephone to be answered. Operator was not able to hear me properly. I had to take another ticket and resolve when I returned. It was inconvenient and stressful and as my flight was delayed made my return home even later .

All smooth. Long queue for transfer bus on return, at midnight, but 3rd bus came pretty quickly so no complaints. Just wear warm clothes!

Despite your email confirmation, my parking reservation was not in the computer system at LGW parking, either upon arrival or a week later when we came home. Why not? Frustratingly, I had to mess around for 5 minutes at each end sorting it out in person at the parking office while the family waited in the car - why? This was supposed to simplify the process.

My car did not start and I had no emergency number for Gatwick long term carpark. I felt quite scared with my child at 01:15 in the morning in a middle of an empty carpark except of course cars around. Anyway I managed to call RAC and they came and start the car. Thanks God, I did not use all my battery on phone after a 6.5 hrs on a plane. Reassurance that's what I needed

not worth taking out the excess insurance at time of booking. car hire company really pushed it at their end and dismissed what I had already purchased for approx. £35, wasted money. ended up giving in to their pressure and now will pay approx. £50, lesson learnt!!

Not a patch on the North terminal Long stay car park. At the South Terminal: 1) your buses need to be bigger as they are at the North terminal long stay. As such not everyone can get on the first bus that arrives. 2) to be told you need to put cases in the racks, when only the highest is free is ridiculous, with that racking being 5 feet high and the case weighing 20 kilos. 3) I pre paid but wasn't recognised at barrier. In future I'll stick to the North terminal long stay regardless of which terminal I'm flying out of.

When I got to exit gate I was requested to pay £34 excess. I queried this, gave booking ref etc. they said holiday extras had not sent booking through and had no trace of my booking. Wasted about 15 minutes discussing this waiting for them to photocopy my paperwork etc. eventually they let me leave without paying the additional charges. Might use long stay car park but not through Holiday Extras!

Had to wait a long time for the bus on our return. The car park is poorly lit especially the signs which were impossible to see from the very crowded bus. The driver did not announce the different zones and there was no display in the bus. We were delayed 2 days due to poor weather. £30 for these additional 2 days is very expensive.

Everything was fine, though the bus to the parking was very crowded and not everyone who was waiting got on. If I had been on my own I would not have been able to stow luggage for the crowd of people on the bus.
