When we got to the Lounge it was absolutely crowded. There must have been 20 to 25 people waiting for a drink. Very little food as the staff couldn't cope with all the customers. Really not good enough. The staff worked v hard. It was busy because some of the other lounges were closed.

The lounge itself was ok. There were a lot of tables that were blocked off or reserved ???? The food was again, ok, but they were very short staffed. There was quite a wait for items to be replenished and quite a queue for the tea/drink and hot food area. It was nice to be in an actual lounge area, but they need more staff, as it didn't run as well as it could have.

Far too many people booked. Queued for about 15 mins when they opened because staff were taking payments from people who hadn’t booked despite a long queue of people who had booked. Coffee was undrinkable. Lighting had an electrical fault and was flickering. Generally very poor. Positives: the bacon was ok

Not a good experience on this occasion . Hardly any food left and what was there was dry z one of the coffee machine was not working .children making to Much noice when people are trying to relax prior to a flight , untidy due to the volume of people . Always book a lounge but felt not worth it this time the main departure area looked better

On first entry, everything was fine. Within an hour, however, there was a long line of customers waiting at the bar to get a drink! At one stage it took 20 minutes before I reached the head of the queue. Not good enough when there is limited time before a flight.

Firstly we arrived at designated time, to find initially no where to sit all vacant tables had dirty surfaces and plates and glasses strewn all over them Constant la k of staff so long question to get drinks. Food quality was pretty poor snd didn't feel the £132 pounds paid for 4 people was value for money!

Arrived at the airport lounge early on May 9th. Obviously the lounge is very understaffed and I actually was helping to clear tables myself. What staff you did have were running around like headless chickens trying to keep up but with the volume of customers in the lounge this simply wasn't possible. The staff who were working were all very helpful and one lady in particular called Jackie (do not remember her last name but she was a mature woman and not a young person) went overboard to help us. This was my 60th birthday and honeymoon holiday vacation so was so disappointed with how it started. I have visited the lounge in Stanstead previously and could not fault however, this first visit to the lounge in Gatwick has now deterred me from booking again on our next holiday in August

We received a warm welcome on arrival. Good selection of food and drink. Clean and staff were prompt to clear plates. Friendly and pleasant staff. Only criticism: bacon wasn’t very hot.

Holiday extras were easy to use & book through. However I would not recommend the Gatwick number one lounge at north terminal. The food is nowhere near as nice or as hot as it was in the past. Plus you had to queue in a single line to get served at the bar. Not worth the money.

The lounge was overbooked with no seats available without at least a 15min wait The hot drinks dispenser worked less the 20% of the time The breakfast service was laid out in a two tray set up with tepid and missing most choices danishes were stale All in all a most disappointing waste of my time and money

Firstly I was billed twice for this lounge, once on my credit card and once on my debit card so had the hassle of having to request a refund for one charge. Also, it wasn't the usual experience from a No 1 Lounge. Bar staff were efficient and friendly. However, usual table service was replaced with a buffet which was not great. Also lounge had a rather untidy and tatty feel

Didn’t get to go in the lounge! Lounge was due open at 4 and when we turned up it was closed! Our gate opened at 5! Waited until 4:20 and lounge still wasn’t open so walked off and ate in restaurant! I have applied for a refund and still yet to get a response!

The No1 Lounge at Gatwick North we have used many times, and previously found it to be a very pleasant experience, however this time it was not so good. The tables were left with used plates on for a long period of time and customers were having to clear the plates prior to being able to sit down at a table. The whole lounge did not look as clean as we would have expected. The food section on the hot food was empty for quite some time there seamed to be a timing problem changing over from the breakfast food to the lunchtime food. And getting a drink was not as pleasant as before as now it seams you need to cue at one section of the bar rather than being served at the part of the bar where you are stood or sat on a stool. All the above are minor issues but collectively, we felt they made the relaxing experience not what we were used too. Mark Robinson

We booked the lounge for the day we flew to Aruba. It was fine but very long queues for the bar. We rebooked for coming home as had to fly from Gatwick to Edinburgh. The lounge was overcrowded with hardly a seat to be had. Two hen parties were in and the bar queues were ridiculously long. Beans were dried to the pan and there was hardly a rasher of bacon left. The staff were helpful when asked but this should be checked regularly.

Food and drink were good. The staff member that I interacted with was friendly and helpful, watching my belongings whilst I got something to eat and drink. The set up was good and I really enjoyed my visit, have booked again for my next one. One down side .. I thought the floor was very messy in places, looked as if there had been a spillage of crisps and bread and it remained there for the entire time I was there. This didn’t impact my stay but would be a recommended improvement.
