Beds far more comfy than cinema seats

Prepare to be pleasantly surprised with the spacious feel of the rooms at the Premier Inn, which are anything but budget. The crisp, white interior is softened with purple feature walls and bright hanging pictures, creating a space that is both modern and comforting. Slip into the huge bed with its Hypnos mattress and let the stresses of air travel fade away as you familiarise yourself with a really great night's sleep. The triple-glazed windows will make sure you aren't disturbed by the airport and the blackout curtains put rest at the top of the bill.

Each room is able to accommodate up to four people (two adults and two children), with a pull-out mattress under the king-size bed and a sofa bed next to the window. This does consequently make the bed rather high off the ground. You'll find a good amount of plug sockets dotted around your room, so you can charge your laptop at your desk whilst you text from your bed. The aforementioned Hypnos mattresses are a dream to sleep on and the beds come with a choice of pillows - firm or soft - allowing you to tailor your night's sleep.

There is, of course, a kettle, tea and coffee, for that long-overdue cuppa once you've arrived, and a television with Freeview, to really kick the relaxing up a notch. In the wardrobe, you'll find plenty of hanging space and a hair dryer beneath the vanity mirror. The bathroom is a good size, big and bright. It comes with a power shower as well, which is perfect to wake yourself up, with and the mirror is well lit. Wifi? Why not?! It's free at the Premier Inn for 30 minutes, then just a further £3 for 24 hours. Though, we did find that you do have to log in every time you shut down your laptop or mobile, so it's a good idea to make a note of your log-in details.

We were pretty impressed with the disabled facilities provided by the Premier Inn. The restaurant, bar and on-site Costa Coffee are all wheelchair accessible. The lifts are large and spacious, and open up to corridors that are all plenty wide enough too. Disabled rooms are bigger then the average room, so it's easy to get a wheelchair around. Compared to the rest of the hotel, the beds are a lot wider and a lot lower to make getting in and out easier. All the facilities in the room, the kettle for example, are on lower shelves and hooks. The bathroom is large and has metal handles and supports all around the edges. There is a tiled platform next to the bath to make getting in easier. For added peace of mind the rooms are dotted with pull cords and button alarms, so you're never far from help should you need it.
