Very comfortable and well furnished.Easy to find and with excellent on site parking.Very friendly and helpful reception staff.Excellent transport links to the airport terminal all. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommended.

No ... it cettainly did not go smoothly this year with it being taken over while we were away. Hilton clearly did not hand over all of the information. The car had been parked there for 2 weeks which they didnt realise and clearly initially there were no rooms allocated to us. This was eventually resolved - but they were refurbished rooms that hadnt been 'signed of' for use I think on the second floor, rooms and. had to be opened with bolt croppers!! In both rooms it was clear the carpets had not long been fitted with remnants all over. No refreshment facilities (arriving at4 in the morning - not ideal. In not towels or toilet roll!! I would give them the benefit of the doubt because of the takeover - which was not 'seamless', despite at least half a dozen text messages received to assure us it would be and we wouldnt notice a thing!! Let's hope they get their act together - quickly!!

No problem at all with Holiday Extras. However, had myriad problems at this hotel (hoVel) and a complaint to Novotel management ensued.

When we got there I was told i had booked for 2. I then informed them that I booked for 3 people. They apologised and added an extra bed. They were very helpful.

First room allocated wasn't made up! En-suite needed a refit - basin didn't drain away. Ridiculous arrangement for validating car park exit ticket - every time you wish to go out you have to queue at reception along with people checking in and out to get your ticket validated.

No everything did not go smoothly. I booked with you in a hotel called the Hilton. I drove to Stansted looked for the road and the signs but could not find it. I drive up and down and eventually found somewhere to park and rang the telephone number I had. Whilst the hotel did not answer the phone initially it did say Novetel so I knew by then the hotel had been taken over. I would have expected Holiday extras to inform customers of this change. I was just lucky that I was in daylight and whilst initially very worried, I did find the hotel

On arrival the lady who checked us in did not know where to enter the car registration on the computer system this took a long time to check in.we were given a room on the second floor due to renovation works being carried out one of the corridor routes was blocked off which ment you had to walk way past your room and all along the corridors to only come back on yourself. On arrival at our room the access cards would not open the door. I went back to the reception to report this and had to join a que of people that have turned up to check in as only one person on the desk. I eventually got new room cards which on the second attempt worked. On entering the room we found a big wet patch on the carpet which seamed to have come from the air conditioning unit. Again back to the reception join the que after many minutes we are give another room on the ground floor which had no milk in the room and no toilet tool in the toilet. Again another wait at reception to resolve this issue. Very poor experience from which should be a more expensive hotel.

Whilst checking in at this hotel I requested at a taxi to be ordered for 3:15 the following morning. Taxi was never booked even though I watched the receptionist write down the details. Hotel changed name whilst we were away from Hilton to Novotel. Would have been nice to have been informed considering we left our car there for a week! Not impressed considering the amount of money we paid to stay here and leave our car here!

Yes everything went% smoothly - the room was in the newly refurbished part of the Hilton (now Novotel) and the staff were as helpful ad always. The car park was busy but we found a space near the hotel ok.

The hotel corridor had a leak and water coming out of the ceiling the buckets and covers were not in the right position and as you walked under you got dripped on with dirty rusty water which marked my top
