Great little airport with lots of European destinations. Helpful staff and well equipped Duty Free shops. It's a shame they can't get Teesside airport (Durham Tees Valley)running like that! Why can't they do that???

So easy to find although can't understand why a week's parking is classed as short stay. We arrived at long stay by mistake and had to quickly exit. Very helpful customer services gentleman redirected us. Otherwise hassle free.

Very well apart from a most frustrating wait for ground staff to come to our plane so we could leave. The door was open for over 14 minutes while we waited.

It was fine when we arrived but when we left at 2am on Sunday 27th the barrier wouldn't lift and we had to press the intercom. A woman asked us for our surname and then let us through.

On arrival at airport The car park cameras did not register our car number - we had to take ticket to get barrier to raise - when we returned a week later at 9.30pm the markings on the car park were very unclear as to where the exit was we drove round twice before found exit by chance! Then we drove to barrier and again camera did not recognise car number and failed to raise - we pressed button for assistance and after some delay an attendant queried whether we had booked - he denied that we had a booking - we gave booking reference 3 times before he acknowledged that we had legitimately booked and prepaid - finally we were released and vowed never to come back to this badly managed facility
