Make a car full of tired kids seem like a walk in the (car) park
Parking at the Holiday Inn Express Liverpool is free for customers during their stay. Pull up to the barrier and it will lift to let you in, then park in an available space. There are disabled spaces closer to the entrance. When you check out, make sure to get a ticket from reception with the code you’ll need to type into the barrier’s keypad to exit. It just couldn’t be easier if you have a crowd of grumpy, tired kids in tow.
If you’re parking while you’re away, it’s just as simple. Book a parking package in advance and you can leave your car where it is until you get back. You can even keep hold of your keys. While you’re away, your car will be kept safe by flood lighting and CCTV.
A taxi to the terminal will cost you around £4.50 and take about five minutes. It may be best to ask reception to book a taxi for you as they can get you a preferential rate. If you’re travelling light, then you can walk to the terminal in roughly 20 minutes.

If you have a late or early flight and don’t fancy grabbing a taxi, then for around the same price you can choose to book a parking package with Liverpool airport Long Stay Parking. Instead of leaving your car at the hotel, drive to the Long Stay Car Park on site at the airport and you can catch a 24-hour transfer bus to the terminal. The car park is manned 24 hours a day and has been awarded the Park Mark award for safer parking by the police.

- Leave the M62 at junction 4, following the slip road round onto Queens Drive.
- Follow the road round onto the A5058 and take the third exit at the roundabout.
- Keep going along the A5058 until you come to yet another roundabout, where you'll need to take the first exit onto the A562 Menlove Avenue.
- Keep going along the road for about 3.5 miles, as it becomes Hillfoot Road and then Speke Hall Road.
- Go straight across the crossroad onto Speke Hall Avenue.
- The hotel will be on your left.
