Heathrow airport will welcome home Britain's Olympic Gold medal winners on Bank Holiday Monday as they fly in from the Beijing Games.

As Britain celebrates its best ever Olympics, with the current total standing at 18 gold medals, there will be a chance to greet the team at Heathrow before they give a press conference.

Among those expected to appear are double gold medallist Rebecca Adlington, triple gold medallist Chris Hoy, and sailor Ben Ainslie who won his third consecutive Olympic gold medal.

Many of the gold medal winners can now expect to become household names and enjoy celebrity status. Rebecca Adlington has already been announced as a guest on the Charlotte Church Show next Thursday.

Heathrow Marriott Hotel

A good way to ensure you get to Heathrow on time to welcome back the triumphant GB team is to book a stay at a nearby airport hotel.

One of the newest hotels at the airport is the four star London Heathrow Marriott. Recently refurbished, the Marriott is a great place to relax before or after a flight with leisure facilities, a swimming pool, four restaurants and Internet access. The hotel also offers the convenience of onsite car parking.
