Where to go when the stars come out
Rafters bar in the main building of the Europa is cosy retreat full of comfy sofas and opens out onto a terrace area in the garden – perfect for summer cocktails. The bar also has a choice of lagers and ciders on tap as well as bottled beers, wines by the bottle and glass, and all the usual spirits and liqueurs in several varieties.

In the daytime, Rafters is a comfortable place to sit with a complimentary newspaper and a coffee; the bar serves soft and hot drinks from 11am and there’s a TV in one section where guests can catch up with the latest news. In addition to the main bar, there’s a quiet sitting area on the mezzanine where guests can also take drinks and enjoy gazing over the lobby.
The bar serves a menu of light meals and bar snacks from noon – see our Restaurants tab for more details. Rafters is open from 11.15m Monday to Saturday, and from 12.15pm on Sundays.
