What perplexes us about the Premier Inn Manchester Airport - M56 J6 Runger Lane North Hotel - is why somewhere so comfortable, with clean, well-equipped rooms and reasonably-priced food, doesn't cost far more. Getting to the airport

The Premier Inn North is less than 3 miles from all terminals, just outside the airport grounds. It's next door to the Premier Inn South - it's the one on the right as you drive in. Directions to the hotel will be on your booking confirmation.

A taxi to the airport takes around 10 minutes and costs around £6.

Check in from 3pm. Check out by 12 noon.

Restaurant

The Thyme restaurant has over 20 main courses to choose from - including British steaks and burgers, salads and pizzas. Guests really like the quality of the food and the waiter service. 2 courses cost around £25.

We'd recommend asking your waiter for the meal deal. For £26.49 you'll get a 2-course dinner with a drink and a buffet breakfast the next morning.

There's a children's menu too, where they can get 2 courses and a drink for £5.50.

The restaurant can cater for gluten, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan diets - just let your waiter know.

The hotel's bar serves everything you'd expect at your local pub. Guests say there's a good selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, and that they're reasonably priced. A pint of beer is around £4. You can also eat from the Thyme restaurant menu here.
