Style and comfort with a pastoral view

The deluxe bedrooms come in a variety of styles, from the ornate decor and vintage furnishings in the older part of the hotel, to the plush, contemporary designs in the large, executive bedrooms. The standard doubles reflect the time in which they were built, as 70s decor meets 16th century heritage, while the newer rooms boast luxurious, fresh interior design. Windows that open fully are a surprisingly rare find, but they can affect that feeling of natural tranquility and calm that comes with this rural setting. The Stanneylands hotel at Manchester airport is the epitome of character maintained, yet modernised!

You wouldn’t believe that this hotel was once a farm back in the 1700s when you lounge in front of the wall-mounted, Samsung flatscreen TV in your executive room, and maybe even switch on the hi-fi system for a little in-room ambience. All rooms have a television, although only the executive rooms feature flatscreens. The rich, heavy wood wardrobe hides inside it all the necessities for tea and coffee making. There’s a hairdryer, trouser press and full-length mirror to make use of when you’re not browsing the free wifi. You’ll also find a generous fleece throw stashed away in the wardrobe in case you get a little chilly come night time, or push open the windows and let nature trickle in as birdsong floats through the trees. (The odd cow can even be heard from one of the neighbouring farms!)

Indulge in a chic en suite

All rooms have a modish en suite with a bath and shower, which you’ll find to be a stylish and chic sanctuary to relax in. Drape your large, fluffy towel on the heated rail to snuggle up in after a drench under the power shower; the perfect start to a cosy evening in.

Room types

The Stanneylands hotel has 55 rooms of varying styles. There are 25 executive rooms, including executive doubles and twins. The hotel also has standard twin and standard double rooms and there’s disabled access throughout the hotel. The executive twins are modern, spacious rooms which feature two single beds, with room for zbeds and cots, which are available on request. These rooms can be found in the newest part of the hotel, and promise a peaceful stay with views of the hotel grounds. Similarly, the executive doubles are also in the newest part of the hotel, furnished with contemporary decor and with plenty of room for zbeds and cots should you require them. The views from these rooms is stunning. The standard twins and double rooms can be found in the earlier part of the hotel which was erected in the 1960s. Here you’ll find a traditional design with either two single beds, or a double bed, respectively. When booking either of these room types, ground floor rooms can be requested subject to availability.
