Bali is the perfect long-haul getaway for couples looking to get pampered on their honeymoon or romantic break. The Indonesian island referred to locally is the Island of Love is known for its stunning scenery, beautiful beaches and welcoming climate (outside of Monsoon season, which takes place between December and March), as well as its mouthwatering and decorative cuisine. Much of the accommodation here is geared up for romantic breaks, and you can hire a villa with its own private pool, courtyard and beach access.
Couples looking to chill out together can enjoy a wealth of spa treatments at luxurious facilities around the island, so if youre partial to a sensual massage or rejuvenating therapy, you wont be disappointed. Ayana Spa on the Rocks is one of the most highly-rated health clubs on the island, with treatments including Lava Me Tender; a volcanic lava all-over body rub, and Diamond Miracle; a decadent dip in the resorts ocean splash rose bath - with petals from 500 red roses.

Paris will never give up its claim to being the most romantic destination on the planet, and whether or not you agree, its certainly good news for couples based in the UK who need only hop on a short flight or train journey to experience what the city has to offer. Tradition is key when you want to make a romantic gesture, so you cant go far wrong with the city of eternal love.
Possibilities for romance in Paris are plentiful, so be sure to draft a rough itinerary before you go: you can cruise the seine by moonlight, explore the citys intimate cafes and bars, view some of the worlds most beautiful pieces of art including Rodins The Kiss, and of course take your loved-one to the top of the Eiffel Tower to experience spectacular views of the city. Seal the deal with dinner-for-two at one of the citys Michelin-starred restaurants, such as La Tour D'Argent.
Venice, Italy

A romantic destination list wouldnt be complete without Venice - its undoubtedly one of the worlds most beautiful and intriguing cities, and will provide the perfect backdrop for your romantic break. The iconic views, fabulous food, wine and other-worldly atmosphere have got to be experienced at least once in a lifetime, and the best way to do it is together.
The floating city is a couples playground, and youll find plenty of enjoyable ways to spend time in your loved-ones company as you wind your way through the historic streets and canals. Take a gondola down to the Rialto Bridge, where many of the citys restaurants and bars are to be found, and take a tour of St Marks Basilica and climb the Campanile Tower if youve got the stamina: it gives beautiful views over the city and is a popular proposal-spot.
