Scotland is famous for its amazing castles and Culzean is one of the most popular. The castle dates back to the 1400s and is a magnificent sight. Robert Burns is Scotland’s best-loved poet and the beautiful Burns cottage where he was born on the 25th January 1759 is now a Heritage park. Nestled in picturesque Alloway, the site is well worth a visit. There’s a National Trust museum on site, which celebrates Robert Burns’ unforgettable contribution to poetry with the most important Burns collection in the world, it’s a fitting tribute to the life of this wonderful poet.
