Shocking data protection breaches were revealed in this weeks edition of Dispatches on Channel Four (5th October). Sue Turton, senior reporter for Channel 4 News exposes security failures in some overseas call centres which allow detailed financial data on individuals to be gathered and sold on with ease.

These outrageous data protection breaches are apparently known as 'data farming'.

In her year long investigation, Sue Turton uncovered criminal networks which trade British consumers' bank and other confidential information, that had been gathered through call centres, for huge profits.

The secure server software SSL (Secure Socket Layers) encrypts all information you enter before it is sent to us. The information is only de-encrypted when it reaches our server.

Another indicator is that our secure pages will not display a 'security alert' message.
