Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) provides shortest average delays out of 75 airports worldwide, according to the Civil Aviation Authority's (CAA) latest survey.
The CAA recently published punctuality statistics showing Leeds Bradford also achieved the second-best on-time performance out of the same 75 airports that were surveyed. These figures were taken from the CAA's statistics for the second quarter of 2008.
With an average delay of only 7.3 minutes, LBIA showed better figures than all the other airports including Manchester, at 13 minutes, and Newcastle, with an average delay of 14.2 minutes.
