Regional airport Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) is celebrating after being re-accredited with the ISO 14001 certification after a recent audit.
The international standard for environmental management, ISO 14001 is recognised across all industry sectors. In order to be accredited, LBIA needed to demonstrate business management that incorporates environmental management and green issues, achieving such a standard has shown that the airport holds the matter as a priority within its objectives.
Commercial and Aviation Development Director at LBIA, Tony Hallwood stated: "We are delighted to have again achieved ISO 14001. It goes a long way in demonstrating our ongoing commitment towards effectively managing our environmental issues."
