Devon's record-breaking polar explorer, Pen Hadow, 46, has set off for Canada, ready to trek across the North Pole on a three-month expedition.
Hadow, from South Devon, and his colleagues Ann Daniels and Martin Hartley, will be studying the floating ice of the Arctic Ocean for The Catlin Arctic Survey.
Hoping to help discover how long the Arctic Ocean's sea ice cover will survive, the team will travel on foot hauling sledges across 1200km of shifting sea ice for around 100 days.
Temperatures can plummet as low as minus 50 degrees Celsius during the harsh Arctic winter.
Happily, there's no need for Exeter passengers to trek to the airport in the cold. Exeter Fly Parks offers a Meet and Greet airport parking service, allowing travellers to enjoy the comfort of their car until they reach the departures building.
A chauffeur will meet you at the terminal, take your car and park it for you in our fully secured Fly Parks car park. All you have to worry about is checking in and planning your expedition. On your return, your driver will be waiting for you with your car.
And by pre-booking your Exeter Fly Parks Meet and Greet service you will make great savings on gate rates. Take a look at these prices:
