There's cause for celebration at East Midlands airport as the hub has been awarded two top travel trade awards in less than a week, both naming EMA as the best airport.
The Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) Awards named the hub 'Airport f the Year,' voted for by members of the travel trade and honour the best in the industry. For this award East Midlands airport beat off competition form Birmingham and Luton airports.
East Midlands airport was also named 'Star Regional Airport' at this year's Travel Bulletin Star Awards on the 15th September, winning over Liverpool John Lennon, Bristol and Birmingham airports for the prestigious title.

In 2007 East Midlands Airport picked up a total of five travel awards, being named 'Best Regional Airport' at the Travel Weekly Globe Awards, 'World's Leading Eco Friendly Airport' at the World Travel Awards, 'Airport Of The Year' at the British Travel Awards. 'Best UK Regional Airport' at the Travel Bulletin 2007 Star Awards and 'Best Airport' by the Baltic Air Charter Association.
