Not too impressed with the hotel parking and check in but the actual hotel was very nice - lovely room and meal. There isn’t enough parking in the car park with many cars parked on pavements and I wouldn’t class it as secure as it’s an open air car park which is easily accessible. There was a large queue at reception and I found it difficult to understand the receptionist as he spoke so quietly. He didn’t mention the parking or the process as part of our check in and I had to ask. He scribbled down our car registration on a scrap of paper which didn’t inspire me with confidence, however the car was there when we returned! Express check in and security was well worth it and made the journey much less stressful.

A tower of wine
The Wine Tower bar has Europe's first “wine tower”, a 13-metre wine rack with the bar's “Angels” performing acrobatic feats as they ascend the tower to fetch you down one of 4,000 bottles of wine, chosen from the hotel's extensive menu. At night, the whole tower is lit up and makes a thrilling centrepiece to the hotel. This alone makes it unique among the Stansted Airport hotels.
If that's all too much excitement, why not unwind in the on-site health club. There are a few treatment rooms, offering massages for an additional fee, a small, but stylishly-arranged pool and even a gym packing plenty of high-tech equipment into a small space. You'll even find 12 machines, including treadmills and stair climbers, arranged in front of three TVs. There's a good selection of free weights too.
If you're looking to treat yourself, then the Radisson Blu is the hotel for you and it's right on site at the airport, just four minutes from the terminal by a covered walkway, making it the closest hotel to Stansted airport. It really doesn't get much better than this, and to prove it, the hotel gives a guarantee that, if you're not 100% satisfied, you'll stay for free.
