The food at the Days Hotel is surprisingly good - and very good value too. Steak, fish and chips, pasta dishes, vegetarian dishes, curries, meat dishes and salads are among the choices, and prices start from £3.95 for a starter and £7.95 for a main course.
Start with ginger chicken with soy sauce, then tuck into the Barnsley chop, an 8oz lamb chop with minted new potatoes and peas, before finishing off with rocky road chocolate brownies with creme fraiche. If you enjoy pub grub then you’ll enjoy the food here.
Dinner is served from 6pm to 10pm. If you have special dietary requirements, the chefs will be happy to prepare you something that is not on the menu.
The most important meal of the Days
The breakfast in the morning is similar to what you might find at other three-star hotels. There’s an array of cereals, pastries, toast, rolls, fresh fruit and yogurt, as well as cooked food. You can also have a packed breakfast delivered to your room. And there’s good news if you’re travelling with your family - breakfast for children under 10 is half price at £4.
