Glide down the sweeping spiral staircases that flank either side of the symmetrical Club Central Lounge Bar behind reception. Sit back and admire the corniced ceilings in the soft leather chairs around the low tables, or pick out the original features of Speke airport entrance all around you.

The Club Central Bar offers snacks and bar meals, such as deli triple-decker sandwiches, salads, pizzas and pasta. Sample a chorizo and piperade salad with roasted peppers, tomatoes and mixed leaves, with the citrusy zest of orange segments balancing the dish. And there’s always that little extra bit of finesse: a simple sausage and mash was made so much more than just pork and potato with the tasty red onion marmalade on top.
Just in case you can’t find what you‘re looking for in the endless breakfast buffet, brunch (including toasted sandwiches and omelettes) is available in the Club Central Bar from 8am to noon.
