If you've a bigger appetite, the starters include smoked salmon; lemon and prawn salad; cream of asparagus soup and poached hen's egg, or chicken liver parfait. For mains, you can follow on with a shoulder of lamb, dauphinoise potato and onion puree; confit leg of duck; butternut gnocchi, lemon and watercress, or a seared fillet of sea bream, provencal vegetables and pearl barley risotto. Still hungry? Indulge in a dark chocolate and raspberry tart with raspberry sorbet, creme brulee and shortbread biscuit or a selection of cheeses with pear chutney and pickled walnut bread.
Dinner
The Langshott Manor is set in such beautiful surroundings - so why would you want to leave and find dinner elsewhere? You can spend your evening totally relaxed, enjoy a drink and amble to your room when you're ready. For starters, you can take your pick from carpaccio of octopus, braised cheek of free range pork, smoked eel, or spinach soup with ravioli florentine. Mains include an assiette of rabbit, slow cooked breast of gressingham duck, braised shoulder and cutlet of Romney Marsh lamb, and a fillet of trout. To finish it off, you can excite your senses with a dark chocolate and beetroot fondant, custard souffle, chilled vanilla rice pudding or creme brulee. You'll probably find it hard to decide!

Served from 3pm to 5.30pm, the Langshott Manor Gatwick offers guests the chance to partake in a truly English tradition. The hotel is set in picturesque gardens which make the perfect setting for tea, scones with thick clotted cream and jam, home-made pastries and baked treats.
