East Midlands Airport Community Fund donates to Nottinghamshire organisations.
£8,000 has been donated to six local organisations throughout Nottingham by the East Midlands Airport Community Fund. Established in 2002, the fund was set up to provide donations to initiatives that bring a lasting benefit to the communities surrounding the airport.
The recipients of donations in Nottingham were Gotham Village Cricket Club, West Bridgford Monarchs Hockey Club, Dovecote Out of Hours Clubs, Dovecote Parent and Toddlers Group, Crocus Cafe and the Pyramid Acrobatic Gymnastics Club.
Councillor Marie Males, Chairman of the Community Fund, said: "It is wonderful to be able to recognise such worthy recipients. We continuously award grants to a huge variety of initiatives which fit the fund criteria, offering further support within their localities."
