Orchard restaurant
There are some fantastic choices for you from the a la carte menu - if you just fancy a main or if you want to go for the whole three courses. The current starters menu includes: swordfish carpaccio with lemon, parsley, radish and cucumber; Yorkshire wood pigeon breast with artichoke and Leicestershire wild mushrooms. For the main course, there is plenty of selection: baked Scottish cod fillet with beetroot, potato, courgette and vanilla; rib eye of Derbyshire beef, fried potato, shallot and peppercorn, or home made potato and herb gnocchi, tomato and Leicestershire wild mushrooms. To finish it off, treat yourself to one of the truly fabulous desserts, including: the Orchard's signature dish, textures of chocolate; or if you fancy something a bit more fruity, there's the homemade sorbet with fruit crisps. There really is plenty of selection, whatever your taste. If you are bringing children with you, they can choose from the kid's menu. All three courses are at a fantastic price of just £7.50 (children must be under 12 and prices are subject to change). All the kids favorites are on the menu including garlic bread with cheese; cheese and tomato pizza served with a choice of jacket potato or chips, vegetables or salad. For dessert there's a generous helping of ice cream. So go on; spoil your little ones with this scrumptious menu.
Sunday lunch at the Orchard restaurant
Treat yourself and relax on a Sunday afternoon by having Sunday lunch at the Orchard restaurant. This delicious three-course menu includes chilled melon with berry compote or chicken liver parfait with melba toast and red onion jam to start. For main, there's roast loin of pork, crackling and red wine jus, or roast rib eye of beef with Yorkshire pudding and beef gravy. For dessert you can savour the berry panna cotta, or for something more savoury, there's cheese and biscuits with celery.
Wine?

Why not choose a bottle of wine to complement your meal from the restaurant's wine list. Sauvignon Blanc, Finca El Picador, Chile is from the house wine selection; this is a zesty wine with citrus notes in a tropical finish. Or if you prefer red, Cabernet Melot, Eagles Point Estate, Australia is a lovely deep berry fruit combined with soft jammy tones. If you have something to celebrate then this is the perfect excuse.
