A new service has been launched offering quick and comfortable transport between Galway and Dublin.
GoBus and Veolia Transport Ireland (who operate the Luas Tram System in Dublin), have come together to provide this direct service to Dublin Airport, avoiding long delays which are often associated with travelling through Dublin city centre.
GoBus offers 10 direct services to and from the airport every day. The service takes the M4 motorway and arrives at the airport via the M50 toll bridge, avoiding the hassle of Dublin city centre. The journey time is just over three hours and services major urban areas such as Loughrea, Ballinasloe and Athlone.
There are early morning departures from Galway beginning at 1.45am, with services continuing throughout the day until 6.30pm. There are also late night departures from Dublin Airport with the last service departing at 11.30pm.
This service is operated by Jim Burke and Sons of Tuam. Jim has a vast knowledge of operating scheduled coach services having spent over 30 years in the bus business. GoBus also offers online booking.
If you are flying out early in the morning or returning late at night, remember to book a Dublin Airport hotel with Holiday Extras. This allows you to continue your journey when you are refreshed in the morning.
Prices for a night in a Dublin hotel start at just £88.23
