At the airport
Whether you’re thirsty or fancy a snack, Belfast airport has plenty of places where you can grab something to eat or drink. You can choose from Bar Des Voyageurs, Burger King, Cafe Bar, Caffe Ritazza, the Food Village and Starbucks. If you need to get some last minute essentials for your trip or just feel like hunting for a duty free bargain then there are a few shops too. You’ll find a Boots, WHSmith, The Irish Quarter and duty free shopping in the terminal.
Attractions in and around Belfast airport
Come face to face with dinosaurs, meet an Egyptian mummy and admire the huge collection of art and history. The Ulster museum has something for everyone and it’s free to visit.
For an exciting hands-on experience for the whole family Belfast W5 is perfect. It has 200 interactive exhibits divided into four areas - Start, Go, See and Do. It’s great fun and you might just learn a thing or two.
Why not visit one of the oldest and most loved landmarks in Belfast - The Crown Liquor Bar. The bar dates back to 1826 and is steeped in Victorian history. Sip your drink under the magnificent burnished primrose yellow, red and gold ceiling, surrounded by painted and etched glass, and the impressive wood carvings which decorate the place. Shops, shops and more shops
Belfast has a wealth of shops to keep even the most ardent shopaholic happy. Your only problem will be whether there’s enough time to visit them all. We've just listed two places to shop but there are plenty more so make sure you check them all out.
The Junction One international outlet centre is renowned as the premier outlet centre in Northern Ireland. It has a staggering 70 individual shopping outlets and 10 food outlets - you’ll need the energy if you’re to tackle all the shops. The best part is that because it’s an outlet store you’ll find designer and high street labels with up to 60% off.
On top of this there’s the Westwood shopping centre in the heart of west Belfast, crammed with a wealth of shops. Its stores include Superdrug, Peacocks, Shop Electric and a drive-thru McDonalds restaurant.
