Eat like a raja

For something more exotic, dine like a raja at the Eriki restaurant, also on site at the Heathrow Crowne Plaza. The restaurant's beautiful oriental setting of hand-carved wooden furniture and beautiful tapestries and artworks compliments the authentic Indian cuisine. The menu includes familiar favourites like Tandoori Chicken, Korma and Biryani, as well as more-unusual dishes such as Chicken Xacuti, Handi Gosht and Lukhnowi Lamb Masala.

Eriki

  • Lunch: noon to 3pm
  • Closed for lunch on Saturdays
  • Dinner: 6pm to 11pm

Main courses cost around £12 to £20, with 3-course set menus available for groups of 6 or more, including a vegetarian menu, from £24 per person. Eriki is open for lunch from noon to 3pm every day except Saturday, when it is closed, and dinner from 6pm to 11pm every day.

Orwell's restaurant

Named after George Orwell, who studied at the nearby Eton College, the hotel's main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is modern and minimalist, like the rest of the hotel, but with a warm, candle-lit atmosphere in the evening.

The breakfast service is almost a banquet, with a generous spread of cooked and continental favourites including bacon, sausages and eggs cooked as you like them, along with more-unusual items like waffles and porridge. The continental options include fuit, yoghurt, cereals and pastries. Tuck in while your waiter brings you tea or coffee.

Orwell's restaurant

  • Breakfast: 6am to 10am, 10.30am on weekends
  • Dinner: 6pm to 10.30pm

Orwell’s is open for breakfast from 6am to 10am, 10.30am at weekends.

Through the day and into the evening, Orwell's offers a majestic menu of modern British cuisine, including steaks, selections from the grill and seafood. We had an excellent starter of grilled mushrooms, a juicy roast chicken and a creamy butternut squash risotto, all washed down with a well-kept red wine from the comprehensive wine list.

Main courses are priced around £15 to £20, but kids eat free from the Grow Healthy children's menu. Dinner service runs from 6pm to 10.30pm, 10pm on Sundays.

Light bites

If you're not quite in the mood for a royal feast, lighter options can be found at Dr O’Driscoll's pub and Orwells Bar.

O’Driscoll's serves a range of pub grub, including pies, ribs, fish and chips and bloomers from 5pm to 11pm. Orwell’s serves a bar menu 24 hours a day, including brunch baps, stone-baked pizzas, gourmet burgers and hot deli sandwiches.

If you'd rather eat in your royal chambers, room service is available 24 hours a day.

Sofitel

The Sofitel at Heathrow T5 was excellent. The car parking as part of the package was perfect. I was so impressed, I have booked the same hotel and car parking through yourselves for my Christmas break

Sofitel

Sofitel hotel attached to Heathrow T5 by a walkway so convenient and hotel car park very easy for car collection on return. Didn’t really make use of the hotel facilities except for a quick drink in the bar. Easy to book using Holiday Extras voucher given for earlier ‘Covid cancellation’!

Radisson

Lovely hotel, would stay again. Only issue, if you could specify which Radisson it is as there are both the red and blue at Heathrow T5. Both are lovely, but it would be good to know which one to be dropped off at.

Sheraton Heathrow Hotel

Excellent service from you guys as our flights were changed and we had to change airports from Gatwick to Heathrow and you allowed us to change hotel & parking easily on the dashboard - it saved our holiday thank you
