Warsaw Old Town

Warsaw is a city where old meets new in a beautiful collision of architecture, science and nature. Rising phoenix-style from the ashes of a troubled past, the city and its inhabitants represent a spirit of resilience and determination and today is an exciting, vibrant place to spend your holidays. Our Warsaw airport transfers take you to the city centre and surrounding suburbs, picking up from both Modlin Mazovia Airport (also sometimes known as Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki Airport) (WMI) and Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW).

The transfer from Warsaw Modlin Airport to the city centre is about 1 hour. Our taxis from Warsaw Modlin Airport pick you up at the terminal and take you to the door of your accommodation.

We also offer Frederic Chopin Airport transfers. From the arrivals hall, you can be in the city centre in just 30 minutes, leaving you more time to get on with the really important stuff.

Whether you're flying solo in Warsaw or on a big group getaway, we have a great range of shared shuttles and private airport transfers, including taxis, minivans and private coaches.

How Do The Airport Transfers Work?

What happens once I've booked my transfer?

So you've booked your Warsaw airport transfers with Holiday Extras. Hooray! Regardless of whether you're flying into Frederic Chopin International or Modlin Maziova, you will receive an email confirmation, which contains important information regarding your booking, including details of where to meet your driver in the airport and your return transfer time (if booked). Make sure you take a copy because you will need it for each of your transfers. Then all you need to do is sit back, relax and start dreaming of Poland.

Arriving in Warsaw

  • When you have touched down in Warsaw, go and wrestle your suitcase off the baggage carousel and make your way to the arrivals hall.
  • Keep an eye out for someone holding a big board with your name on it. If you don't see anyone, you may have to go to a designated transfers desk within the arrivals hall. Your confirmation will give you specific details on which to do, so be sure to have a read of that.

Uh oh! My flight has been delayed!

Delays are one of the lesser joys of travelling. If one just so happens to occur on your flight to Warsaw, don't worry about it. We have a cunning plan in place just in case. On your confirmation, there will be a number to call, which will let you speak to your provider and let them know the situation. They will then be able to make arrangements for you.

When it's time to come home

When the time has come to say do widzenia to Warsaw, we have made sure that your transfer back to the airport is hassle-free. On your confirmation, there will be a time and pick up location listed. Any problems, just give that number on the confirmation a call and have a chat with your provider.

It's recommended that you're all packed and ready at least 15 minutes before your pick up time, to make sure everything runs smoothly.

A Little Guide To Warsaw

To say that Warsaw has had a tough time of it is to understate this magnificent city's history. Razed to ashes during the Second World War, the city has been rebuilt, brick by brick and reborn as a testament to the spirit and tenacity of its inhabitants. To get a true glimpse of how impressive the rebuilding is, head to the Old Town Square. This gloriously colourful square has been recreated as an exact replica of what was there before and it is beautiful. Watched over by the mermaid of Warsaw in the centre, the square is dotted with charming cafes and street vendors and bordered by buildings painted in an explosion of rainbow hues. A wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by, ideally with a plate of steaming pierogi to tuck into as you enjoy the view.

The Old Town is also home to Marie Curie's house, identifiable by the artwork painted on the front of the building in homage to her groundbreaking work. If you're a keen scientist, Warsaw offers many exciting activities and destinations as well as Madame Curie's house. The Copernicus Science Centre is a fantastic rainy day visit, with interactive exhibits to explore Warsaw's considerable contribution to science.

We also offer transfers to the suburbs of the city, such as Praga. Once a dilapidated and run-down part of Warsaw, this district has recently become an artistic hub, teeming with trendy bars and restaurants. It is also the only part of the city which predates World War II, so for history buffs, it is a fascinating excursion to see the buildings still bearing the scars of combat.
