If you would prefer to leave your car protected from the worst of the weather, one of Manchester Airport's official multi-storey car parks could be the right choice. These convenient self-park options are within walking distance of the terminals, and you can park your own car and keep your keys.
Following Manchester Airport's terminal and parking changes in March 2026, the multi-storey car parks are now signposted using P numbers. There are four main options: T2 East Multi Storey – P1, T2 West Multi Storey – P3, Mid Stay Multi Storey – P12 and T3 Multi Storey – P14.
Important: Most spaces in the multi-storey car parks are under cover, but some rooftop or open-air bays may be exposed to the weather. An undercover space cannot be guaranteed unless this is specifically confirmed in your booking.

Important Manchester Airport Terminal Update
From 5 March 2026
Manchester Airport has moved to a new two-terminal layout. As part of these changes, Terminal 1 has closed and its operations have transferred to Terminal 3.

- Terminal 3 – Ryanair flights only

Which Manchester Airport car parks offer covered parking?
T2 East Multi Storey – P1
This is one of the closest self-park options for Terminal 2, with a walk of around 1–3 minutes. Park in an available space, keep your keys and walk to departures. The car park reopened for pre-booked customers in May 2026.
T2 West Multi Storey – P3
P3 is approximately 2–4 minutes' walk from Terminal 2. It uses a barrierless entry and exit system, so it is particularly important to enter the correct vehicle registration when booking. Most standard vehicles must be under 2 metres high and fit within a standard-size parking bay.

Previously known as Multi Storey T1, P12 is now a covered parking option for Terminal 2. The walk takes approximately 10–15 minutes. You choose your own space, keep your keys and return to the same place after your trip. Vehicle restrictions apply, so check the product page before booking a van, pickup or larger vehicle.
T3 Multi Storey – P14
P14 is approximately 5 minutes' walk from Terminal 3. Follow signs for P14, as airport signs may not display the older T3 Multi Storey name. Vehicles must fit beneath the 2-metre entry barrier and within a standard-size bay.
What is undercover airport parking?
Undercover airport parking normally means parking inside a multi-storey car park, where most bays are sheltered by the level above. It can help protect your car from rain, frost and direct sun while you are away.
Manchester Airport's multi-storey products are self-park services, so you select a space and keep your keys. Security arrangements vary by car park but can include number-plate recognition, CCTV, fencing and controlled entry or exit.
