The staff were very helpful but the room was very small and the sofa bed sagged in the middle, meaning my 12 and 13 year old sons were pushed together, which they hated. As it was a ground floor room, we didn't feel safe leaving the window open overnight and it was uncomfortably hot in the room so we slept really badly. Convenience - As well as offering brilliantly low prices, the hotel's location, provides the convenience that you need. At only 10 minutes from Manchester Airport, you can wake up knowing you haven't got a long journey before your flight. You can park in the hotel's car park overnight for free and when your ready to leave in the morning, you can do so stress-free as your Jet Parks 1 parking, is already booked. You simply drive to the Jet Parks car park, park up and hop on the free transfer bus to the terminal doors. When you return your car will be exactly where you left it.

Clean Promise is the Holiday Inn Express' brand new, advanced cleaning system dedicated to making your stay as safe and contact-free as possible. When you arrive you'll find hand sanitiser for you to use and screens at reception. Both public areas and bedrooms are being cleaned more regularly.
Your room gets a deep clean with enhanced cleaners too, with emphasis on high-touch areas including light switches and remotes. You'll also get hand sanitiser and wipes to keep.
As well as the hotel, JetParks has introduced measures to make your parking as safe and contact-free as possible. You'll see social distancing signs at the car park and on buses, which you must follow. There'll be fewer passengers per bus and full buses will have a sign to show this. You'll also need to wear a mask on the bus and at the airport.
Getting to the airport
This package includes parking at JetParks 1 car park. You'll need to drop your car at JetParks on the morning of your flight - it's a 4-minute drive from the hotel.
From the car park take the shuttle to your terminal. It's included in the price, takes between 5-12 minutes and runs every 15 minutes.
Check in from 2pm. Check out by 11am.
You'll need to park overnight at the hotel before you take your car to JetParks 1 car park, which is £10 per car.
JetParks 1 is a 5-12 minute shuttle to the terminal. Park in any space and keep hold of your keys. The car park has CCTV, floodlights, entry and exit barriers and is regularly patrolled.
Directions and an address to the car park for your satnav will be on your booking confirmation.
The rooms are spacious and clean. Considering its closeness to the airport, guests say it's also very quiet. None of the en suite bathrooms have baths, but they all have walk-in showers.

JetParks has designated Blue Badge bays, which are all signposted. They work on a first come first served basis and you'll need to display your badge whilst you're away. The shuttle buses are also wheelchair accessible.
The Great Room restaurant has a basic menu, which is reasonably priced. The average cost of a main meal is around £12, with the firm favourite among guests being fish and chips.
International dishes are available, such as burgers, pasta and curry. The menu also caters for vegetarian, vegan, dairy and gluten free diets. A separate kids' menu is also provided.

The Bar Lounge has a limited selection of snacks to choose from. An average glass of wine starts from £3.50 and a pint of beer is around £2.90.

Breakfast isn't a full English, but there's a selection of hot choices from sausages, beans and eggs, to cold options such as toast, cereal and pastries. It is served in the Great Room restaurant and is included in the price for all guests.

Good to know
Government regulations require passengers at the airport to wear a face mask. Remember to bring a face mask and have it on before you get there. You'll need one for each member of your party.
We recommend requesting a room on the top floor when you check in, for a quieter nights stay.
Early or late? The car park offers a grace period of six hours at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £15 per 24 hours. This is subject to change.
Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).
