Tenerife Airport has one main passenger terminal building for both domestic and international departures. It is a modern and well-equipped facility with various amenities and services for travellers including shops, duty-free stores, restaurants, cafes, car rental services, and currency exchange counters.

It is recommended that you arrive to Tenerife Airport with plenty of time before your flight. If you need to return a rental car, allow sufficient time for the drop-off.

For flights within Spain, it's typically advised to reach the airport at least 1.5 to 2 hours before your flight's departure time. However, for international flights, especially during busy travel periods, it's recommended to arrive at Tenerife South Airport at least 2 to 3 hours ahead of time.

The airport is well-connected to various parts of Tenerife through a network of roads and public transportation options. Travellers can access the airport by bus, taxi, or private car. The airport is located approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of the island's capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
