Driving to Teesside airport

At 25 miles south of Durham, Teesside airport is actually much closer to Darlington. It’s not far from the A1(M), so whether you’re driving there from the north or south the terminal is easy to find. Check the main details of your route below:

  • From the west – You can either take the M62 east to the A1(M) and join it there, or head north first via the M6 and A66. Follow the road via the A1(M) and A66(M), and when it becomes the A67 you’ll start seeing signs for the airport.
  • From the north– Starting from the Newcastle area, it’s an almost straight trip south down the A1(M). Exit at junction 60 and take the quicker back roads down to the airport - it’ll be signposted.
  • From the south – As the A1(M) travels quite far down and links with the M1 and other motorways, it’s easy to access the airport from as south as London. Follow the above instructions from the A1(M) as if you were driving in from the west.

Drivers with a sat nav can put the postcode in - DL2 1LU - to get more customised directions from their starting point.
