Getting to Manchester Airport

By Train: There are direct trains from Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Airport and the airport train station is perfectly located for you to walk to any of the terminals in 5-15 minutes.

By Car: Situated 9 miles outside of Manchester city centre, the airport is next to the M56 and has easy links to the M6, M60 and M62. You can use the airport postcode of M90 1QX in your sat nav, then simply follow the signs for the terminal that you need.

Drop-off: You have couple of drop-off options at Manchester Airport, there is a free drop-off area available in the JetParks 1 car park which is served by a free shuttle bus to whichever terminal you need. The shuttle service runs 24/7 to the airport and takes around 6 minutes. If you want to park a little closer to the airport each terminal has a paid drop off area, the costs are:

  • £5 for 5 minutes
  • £6 for 10 minutes
  • £25 overstay charge if you go over 10 minutes

All charges are to be paid at the exit barrier when you leave.

Pick-up: There is a pick-up zone directly outside each terminal where you can park for up to 30 minutes for £6 with all charges being collected at the exit barrier.

There are 3 terminals at Manchester airport, aptly named Terminal 1, 2 and 3.

Terminals 1 and 2 are linked by the airport's skylink and have very convenient travelators to aid passengers with the 10-15 minute walk.
