Barcelona Airport Terminal Information

There are two terminals at Barcelona airport: Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2). Terminal 1, which opened in 2009 is the newest and main terminal that serves most of the major airlines. Terminal 2 is divided into 3 buildings: T2A, T2B and T2C. You can easily walk between the T2 sub terminals but if you need to travel between T1 and T2, you'll need to catch the shuttle bus that operates every 5 minutes.

Barcelona Airport Travel Information

Barcelona airport has brilliant public transport connectivity, especially if you're travelling from the city centre. There are 5 main transport options: Aerobús, bus, train, metro and taxi. The Aerobús is a particularly popular option for those transfering from the city centre thanks to the fast and affordable service - the journey takes around 35 minutes and costs €9.75. There are also several public bus routes from the city centre and nearby areas that offer direct access to the airport. The airport train station is located at Terminal 2 (T2B) which makes travelling from the surrounding area by train an incredibly convenient option. The metro connects both terminals with Barcelona's underground - the line that serves the airport is L9 Sud. For those travelling by taxi you'll find taxi ranks directly outside T1 and T2.
