Athens Airport has 2 terminals, the Main terminal and a nearby Satellite Terminal reached via an underground passage. The Main Terminal building handles the majority of flights at Athens Airport, with departures taking the top 2 floors of the 3 floor building.
Athens Airport Travel Information
Athens Airport is very well served by multiple bus routes to and from Athens itself as well as various additional locations. The OASA public bus routes that serve Athens Airport are as follows:
- X93 - This is the route to the Intercity Bus Station and takes around 65 minutes
- X95 - Athens centre is the final destination for this bus route arriving at Syntagma Square in around 60 minutes
- X96 - Arrives at Piraeus Port in about 90 minutes, Piraeus Port is the largest port and perfect if you are visiting the Greek Islands
- X97 - This bus will take you to Dafni Metro Station in approximately 45 minutes
There are also services run by KTEL (regional buses) that operate to and from the airport on express routes with limited intermediate stops.
Athens Airport is also served by Suburban Railway which takes around 35 minutes to reach Athens city centre, and local taxi companies which take around 35-40 minutes depending on traffic.
