Collecting a passenger from Doncaster airport

Its central location in the Yorkshire and Humber region means that Doncaster airport is perfectly placed for travellers throughout the UK. It also means it’s easy to drive to, wherever you approach from. Major motorways including the M62, M1, A1 and M18 are close; use the directions below to plan your trip according to the direction you are approaching from:

  • North and south – Depart from the A1 at junction 13, and join the A614 towards Bawtry. If you are driving along the M18, leave at junction 4 and follow the signs.
  • West – Drive along the M62 eastbound and leave at Junction 35. Follow the M18 south, and then change at junction 15 for the M180 and almost immediately again at junction 1.
  • East – Once you reach the end of the M180 take the right-hand lane at the roundabout. Returning back along the eastbound M180, take the first exit at junction 1 and follow the signs to the airport.

Where to stop at the airport

If you are picking up a passenger it’s unlikely that you’ll want to stop for long at Doncaster airport. You can find a specially-designated pick-up area in the main passenger car park, where you can stay for 15 minutes free-of-charge. The area is directly opposite the terminal, and if you stay longer you’ll be charged at standard short-stay car park rates – up to 30 minutes will cost £2.50*. As you are not allowed to stop in front of the terminal, this pick-up area is perfect.

*Prices shown correct as of August 28, 2013.
